I noticed that there are more options to choose from under the "Default Elements Tab" in the Main Settings for the plugin than are available in the individual product settings. Shouldn't the individual product settings have most of the same options?

For example, if I want to clip a bounding box for text (as opposed to, say, a limit modification), I can only set this in the main settings for custom text (under the Default Elements Tab). I cannot change the bounding box mode for custom text in the individual product settings.

I have also reported this and would like to see the bounding box mode available for individual product settings.
