Fancy News Plugins Not Reading Posts

I'm developing a site that uses a static front page and a blog page for posts. I purchased the Fancy News Feed from CodeCanyon, but all I get on the home page is a blank space.

I can't figure out the problem. The blog looks fine and the front page looks fine. I just can't get the blog posts to appear on the front page using this plug-in.

Any suggestions?
