I've set up FPD to work with variations. I need it so that when a variation is selected, only a certain fancy design category will show up, and when a different variation is selected, a different fancy design will be available. 

The only way I know how to attach design categories to a product is through "individual product settings", which affects ALL variations. This defeats the purpose for me, since I need certain options to ONLY be available for ONE variation. 

Anybody know a solution? 

I just realized the latest update from 2 days ago (3.4.9) allows this to be done by selecting categories via the Upload Zone in the product builder. This allows specific views and products to have their own assigned categories.
